The cascade H-bridge topology is simple, flexible, and widely applied in high-voltage cascade inverters, Static Var Generators (SVG), and cascade H-bridge energy storage systems.

In industrial applications, motors, which serve as the driving units for equipment such as fans, pumps, compressors, conveyors, and crushers, consume significant amounts of energy. By integrating cascade inverters with production processes, motor energy consumption can be substantially reduced.

In energy storage systems, high-voltage cascade technology uses multiple energy storage units to form a large power, high-current storage system. This configuration eliminates the need for a transformer and allows direct connection to the grid, offering higher cycle efficiency, reducing land usage, and preventing issues such as unequal charge states between battery modules in traditional systems. This helps minimize effective capacity degradation during long-term operation.

SVG (Static Var Generator) is primarily used to enhance the transmission capacity and stabilize transient voltages of the power grid. It can also be applied to reactive power regulation in transmission and distribution networks, as well as in wind power and photovoltaic power plants. Additionally, SVG can be used for power factor control in industries such as mining, petrochemicals, and coal mining, as well as for bus voltage flicker suppression and compensating unbalanced loads. It also helps in filtering harmonic currents from loads, ultimately improving power quality and promoting energy efficiency.

By paralleling a single or multiple half-bridge modules per phase, these products can cover the medium to small power range (3kV-10kV) of high-voltage inverters, part of the large power range, and the medium-capacity range (3kV-35kV) for cascade energy storage systems and SVGs. For smaller power applications, such as low-power high-voltage inverters, the H-bridge integrated modules reduce the number of modules required, significantly reducing the size of the system and lowering structural costs.
